If you have limited swing space available or are looking for a stylish way to divide a room, steel sliding doors provide the perfect solution.
At Emezzi, you can find both interior and exterior sliding doors. A custom-made sliding door makes it easy to separate spaces, giving you not only a contemporary look but also more privacy and improved insulation.
Our steel sliding doors come with an overhead rail system. This ensures that our doors fit seamlessly without unwanted gaps or grooves on the floor. Our sliding doors feature a lightweight aluminum frame, providing smooth and easy movement when opening and closing. Additionally, we also offer an option for supporting guides, ideal for situations where multiple doors overlap, such as dividing a spacious room or a conservatory."
The side panels, handles, horizontal and vertical bars of our steel sliding doors can be fully customized to your preferences. Emezzi's aluminum doors are available in colors such as black, bronze, white, and virtually any other RAL shade. This allows you to create the perfect modern industrial sliding door for any living space, bathroom, conservatory, or office.
Emezzi's steel sliding doors are entirely customized. We ensure that the door precisely matches the dimensions of your opening or the specific situation. For wider door openings, we recommend a double sliding door or a sliding door combined with a side panel. Ultimately, the customer decides on the desired configuration and how the door moves, depending on the available space and personal preference.
For a double sliding door, space is needed to let it disappear into the wall or slide along the wall. If that space is not available, we recommend a sliding door in combination with a side panel. This allows the door to move over the side panel, eliminating the need for available wall space.
In a narrower passageway, a single sliding door is usually chosen. Often, the door is slid along the wall, but it is also possible to mount it between two walls. Soft-close can be added as an additional option for sliding doors. For double soft-close functionality, the sliding door should be at least 80 cm wide. This is why a door with a width of at least 80 cm is often preferred."
At Emezzi, we utilize aluminum for all our door types and partitions. This means that all our door types and partitions consist of aluminum profiles combined with glass. Aluminum is characterized by its lightweight yet exceptional strength. An additional advantage of our approach is that we do not require welding for our doors, resulting in seamless, symmetrical designs. The aluminum used for our doors and panels is of top quality and finished with an Axalta powder coating.
Thanks to the aluminum construction and the use of stainless steel components, our doors are practically maintenance-free. The lightweight properties of aluminum make it easy to install, requiring only a 4 cm depth in the ceiling. Another advantage of sliding doors is that there is no need for floor drilling. So, if you have underfloor heating, it's not an obstacle! For our sliding doors, the side panels and the floor guide block are glued. Since sliding doors do not have a swinging motion, they save space in your interior.
At Emezzi, the steel sliding doors are custom-made. The price depends on various factors such as dimensions, the design of the steel doors, the chosen finish like the RAL color and handles, and the installation costs, which can vary by region. For a clear picture of the costs, you can use our configurator. It's always advisable to contact us for an exact quote based on your specific preferences.
Our sliding doors with aluminum frames are lightweight compared to conventional steel doors. This makes them move more smoothly and easier to handle. With an optional soft-close system, the door is gently brought to a halt just before it fully closes. While our aluminum sliding doors offer the same robustness and modern design as steel doors, they are attractively priced. At Emezzi, we offer our steel sliding doors standard with clear glass, manufactured by the Saint Gobain group. Alternatively, you can also choose tinted glass in bronze, green, or gray. If privacy is important to you, we definitely recommend frosted glass as an excellent option.
At Emezzi, we guarantee the safety of our glass sliding doors. Most of our sliding doors are equipped with laminated glass, which means the glass consists of two layers with a special interlayer in between. This minimizes the risk of glass breakage and shattering. In the unlikely event of any damage, the glass will not break into sharp pieces; instead, the shards will adhere to the interlayer, significantly enhancing safety.
At Emezzi, we typically offer laminated glass, as mentioned earlier. However, we also provide the option of tempered safety glass, which is often used in colored windows and other specific applications. Tempered glass is known for its extreme strength. In case of damage, this type of glass will break into small, dull pieces, minimizing the risk of injury.
The installation of steel sliding doors does not require much in terms of attachment. The rail is attached to the ceiling, and it is crucial that the ceiling is sturdy enough, as it involves a hanging system. The rail needs to be able to be drilled 4 cm deep across its entire width. Whether the ceiling is made of concrete or wood typically provides sufficient stability. The side panels of the sliding door are placed against the walls and are not screwed into the walls. Whether the walls are made of stone or drywall, it is not a problem for us, as long as the ceiling provides sufficient stability.
If you choose to attach the sliding door to the wall, it is crucial that the wall provides enough stability. If in doubt, you can always consult our guidelines. If there are significant irregularities in the wall, we can correct them using foam rubber and/or finishing strips. Regarding the floor, the panel is glued. If there is underfloor heating, this is not a problem with our sliding doors, as no drilling is required, and the underfloor heating can be maintained without any issues."
